I’m a proud mom of three boys in the Hartland-Lakeside School District and a full-time working parent who is deeply invested in our schools and community. Like many families, I experience our district both at home and in the classroom, as a parent, a volunteer, and a neighbor.
Serving our schools is personal to me. I believe strong districts are built when families feel heard, educators are supported, and decisions are made with care, transparency, and collaboration.
My involvement began through the Hartland-Lakeside Education Foundation as a way to give back to the district that supports our students and staff every day. Through that work, I saw firsthand both the dedication of our educators and the growing challenges they face.
Wanting to better understand how decisions are made, I began attending School Board meetings and learning more about district governance. When I realized there would be no female voice on the Board, I felt a responsibility to step forward. I bring a unique perspective as a full-time working parent, a frequent school volunteer, and a mom committed to thoughtful, collaborative leadership.
I serve because I care deeply about this district and believe the best decisions are made when students remain at the center of every conversation.
Professionally, I have a background in finance and accounting across multiple industries, including nearly five years as an auditor specializing in nonprofit organizations. I then spent several years in nonprofit accounting roles, working closely with budgets, compliance, and governance.
This experience gives me a strong understanding of the nuances of school finance and oversight, and helps me ask informed, thoughtful questions while keeping students and long-term sustainability at the center of decision-making.
