About Me

My name is Morgan Henning, and I am proud to be running for the Hartland-Lakeside School Board. As a financial analyst with over 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, I bring a strong background in fiscal responsibility and strategic planning. I began my career in public accounting and auditing nonprofits and have since held roles in grant management and social services finance. Currently, I work in financial operations.

I hold a master’s degree in public accounting and a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, which have equipped me with the skills necessary to make sound financial decisions for our district. My professional experience has always aligned with my commitment to supporting organizations that serve others, which is why I am passionate about serving the Hartland-Lakeside community.

My family and I moved to Hartland in 2017, and we are proud to call this wonderful community home. As a mother of three boys—Sullivan, Winston, and Everett—who attend schools in the district, I am deeply invested in the success of our students and teachers. My husband, Nick, and I are dedicated to making a positive impact here. I actively volunteer at our schools, serve on the finance board of a local nonprofit, and support youth development through sports as a volunteer coach.

In my free time, I love volunteering and playing kickball. These activities allow me to connect with others, stay active, and have fun while supporting the sense of community that makes Hartland-Lakeside so special.

I am running for the school board because I believe in empowering parents and teachers, fostering transparency, and ensuring our district remains fiscally responsible. Together, we can maintain the tradition of excellence in our schools while strengthening the community spirit that makes Hartland-Lakeside truly exceptional.
